Tafe Nsw Enterprise Agreement 2016
An important part of the business negotiation process is your right to appoint a negotiator to participate in the negotiations on your behalf. There are three ways to be represented during the negotiations: the Australian Federation of Education NSW Teachers Federation and TAFE NSW began negotiations late last year on a new TAFE Commission of NSW Teachers and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement. Both sides have an interest in robust and swift corporate negotiations and joint engagement. Accordingly, I would like to point out that TAFE NSW is using with immediate effect the current negotiation process for a company agreement to replace the TAFE Commission of NSW Teachers and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement 2013. A copy of the approved agreement is available here. The starting point of the new negotiation process will be the agreement in principle with the AEU NSW Teacher Federation. If you would like to appoint a negotiator to represent you (including yourself) during the negotiation process, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The email must contain your full name and electronic signature as well as information about the representative you wish to appoint. You can appoint a trading representative at any time during the negotiation process. All current teachers and related staff have the right to vote. Part-time duty teachers must have worked in 2016 to be eligible to vote. In 2016, and with employees returning to work after the break, I would like to give an update on Enterprise Bargaining for the Teachers and Related Employees Enterprise Agreement. On 8 February 2, 2016, we will meet with the union and self-proclaimed workers` representatives to advance negotiations for a new company agreement and an increase in the salaries of teachers and related workers.
At this meeting, we will focus on a number of areas of common interest presented by the union, self-proclaimed representatives and TAFE NSW. I will write to you again after this meeting to inform you of the progress of the negotiations. A number of bargaining issues were identified and addressed, including the level of salary increases, the duration of the proposed agreement, the terms of employment and the current experimentation with staff roles. Discussions focused mainly on scoping and then on the clarification of cases, with more detailed negotiations in subsequent rounds. On July 4, 2016, I announced my intention to help our organization cooperate as TAFE NSW. This strategy is important because we are now separated from the Ministry of Education and we are responding directly to the discussions I have had with teachers from all over TAFE NSW. If you are a member of the union, you will soon receive a ballot to vote on the proposed labour dispute. Of course, we all strive to minimize the impact on our students and industry partners. .
